It was a special day today, with us taking part in a memorial match for former member Peter Newton who recently passed away and was a member of our club along with Rope & Anchor with whom we held this match with.
Peter's son Dave who is a member of both clubs arranged this match and what a great event it was.
Sadly the weather wasn't fishing weather with temperatures of 30 degree's C, no wind, high air pressure and humidity it was a testing day. As you will see from the weights achieved across both pools, see below.
It was a standard five hour match with the match running from 10:30am - 3:30pm.
For the purposes of the team event, anglers fished against the next man and points awarded 1 for a win and 2 for second. All scores below.
For the monetary side we paid top two on each pool and two sections, again results below.

Everyone had a good day for a good cause, raising money also for Macmillan Cancer Support.
All are looking forward to doing it again next year!
