The CADG Spring League is a new league set up in 2012 by the Cheshire Angling Development Group (CADG) which is a group of Cheshire based clubs who's aim is to develop the sport of Angling and encourage more Juniors into the sport.
This year a series of four matches have been arranged which has teams of six Junior members from five Cheshire clubs. The clubs involved are, Northwich Anglers, Bay Malton, Prince Albert, Warrington Anglers and ourselves. To see more information on this group and the matches. POHAS Child Protection Policy

Everyone will be aware that Child Protection is a highly emotive subject, particularly within Sport where our young and vulnerable members of society have by the very nature of many sports, close ties with coaches, trainers, instructors etc.

Penketh & Old Hall Angling Society has been pro-active in this very important area for several years.
Since 2004 the Club has adopted a Child Protection Policy written by 'Joint Angling Governing Bodies'.
As of December 2010 we have now formerly adopted the ADB (Angling Development Board) Child Protection Policy and other important procedures to ensure that our young and vulnerable people fishing with us, are cared for in a proper manner

Club Members who officiate at our Junior matches have been police checked and are 'Enhanced CRB' (Criminal Records Bureau) approved.

As part of our carefuly monitored Child Protection procedures, we also have several other important documents that the committee and members accept on becoming members of the club and also important information for parents of our Junior members.
These important documents are shown below and can be downloaded by clicking on the relevant link.

Should you have any concerns, or wish to discuss any of the policies/documents, please contact us, our details are shown on the 'contact us' page.

All matches on Brownlee's & Whitegate meet poolside at 9.00am. Fish from 10.00am - 1.00pm (20 pegs available).

Additional Rule 1: Any Junior member wishing to be considered for the Junior League and be awarded points at each match MUST be a valid member no later than the second match of each season ( ie 2nd July 2011 is the second match for Juniors in 2011).

Additional Rule 2: It is no longer possible to join on the day of a match and expect to fish. Licences are available from March each year and are available from Bailiffs and committee members who's details are shown below. Plenty of time to get your licence.

The above rules have been added to ensure that we are fair to those Juniors who endeavour to fish most if not all matches. We have had instances (hence the rule), where Juniors have purchased a licence, fished one match and not been seen again. This is not fair, and could stop another member fishing if pegs are limited.

Polite request: To ensure that we have enough spaces on each match, we would appreciate a quick phone call if you want to fish. A week before the match would be sufficient time to make sure we have everything available, and where necessary have sufficient transport if it is an away match.

For all Junior Match information, contact our Chairman Frank Davies on 01925 652327 after 6pm.

Don't forget - get your club licences early, available from 16th March each year.

All matches fished on a Saturday unless stated otherwise.

Away match, meet at Brownlee's at 9.00am, transportation to and from venue can be arranged. Fish at venue 10.00am - 1.00pm or 11.00am - 2.00pm subject to venue, refer to licence.

BBQ & Refreshments will be available on all matches fished at Brownlee's or Whitegate.

If you want to take up fishing, join, tuition is available from our 'Level 2' Accredited Coach John Bryan (we have a child protection policy in place for the protection of all). Contact us for details.
